For the FPW, I begun my Config::Model slides 6 weeks ago and finished the first dratft 2 weeks later. (see http://config-model.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/...). Then I polished the slides. IMHO, these are necessary steps to make the most of the precious few minutes of attention that you have during your presentations.

Since the number of slides is limited (about 1 for 2 mns), polishing also means eliminating what's not necessary. The idea is to avoid this kind of ending: "Gosh, I'm late, I'll talk faster". That a sure way to loose your audience.

How do I manage to prepare the slides in advance ? Well, I put on hold all other hot topics.
