Hm you need to give a bit more information here :)

Can you try to install only Getopt::Long ? And include any additional error message :)

If you can't have more error messages, you could try installing Getopt::Long manually. Ask me if you need help for that.

Alternatively, maybe you are hitting the following issue ? http://bulknews.typepad.com...

Thanks very much! I tried everything I could find and this was the only method that worked!

One issue though. I tried this on a machine that didn't have the developer tools installed, and now that I have the developer tools installed (and rebooted) the sudo cpan command ends with this:

"Checking if your kit is complete...
Looks good
Writing Makefile for Getopt::Long
-- NOT OK
Running make test
Can't test without successful make
Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible".

Any way to rerun this, or alternately to update cpan on where make is installed? I looked through the .cpan directory in my home directory, but didn't find anything worthwhile.
